Review of Pitch Perfect 3

Pitch Perfect 3

All those who have a special connection with music, such musical comedies are a treat to watch.  I have always felt that for every situation I have a medley playing in my head.  For me music has the power to not only calm me down but to transport me to a memory that I cherish.  Pitch Perfect series has 3 movies. The third and the final installment came on Netflix on 31st December. It was first released in 2017 and I have been too eager to watch it.

Plot of Pitch Perfect 3

The story follows the Barden Bellas an Accapella college group who have formed a very strong bond over the years being together. They have reunions and got themselves invited to perform on USO. The catch is that they have a competition too with other bands performing. To be featured as an opening act of DJ Khaled. The only problem is that Bellas are accapella i.e. they do cover songs and “make music with their mouth”. Whereas other bands have instruments and original songs! What follow is a parody of songs and some comic action sequence.

Highlights

Apart from some wonderful songs and music that tugs your heart strings, what I love about the movie is how the circle of friends, irrespective of their individual highs and lows love to stay together and stick together. They support their sisters and even help to take decision to move ahead in life. They have this special bond that is very rare in this world.

Aside some killer moves on the stage as well as some action packed sequence the true star of the movie shines out.  It is a true culmination of the entire series and somehow the music is cathartic. It is much more than a chic film.  Satire runs throughout the movie when the hosts from the last two movies take digs at the Barden Bellas.

Cast

The main cast includes :-
Anna Kendrick
Brittany Snow
Anna Camp
Rebel Wilson
Hailee Steinfeld

Along with many more!

What moved me was the music was superb. But the attachment and the way they each stand up for their sisters is the highlight for me. Hope you enjoy it.
