I wasn’t the kind of a girl who was passionate about something to make myself climb the ladder of my goal. Yet, my life had different plans, and I found my way gradually. So, I guess we can say that my life’s goal found me, and I accepted it with open arms.
It started 10 years ago when I thought of losing some kilos and working towards a healthy body. A decade ago, I started going to fitness classes and prioritised my health for good. I wanted to lose weight, inches, look good, and feel confident in my flesh. With utmost dedication, zeal, and the right coaching, I started to reduce and saw a major transformation in my health and physique.
You wouldn’t believe I lost 20 Kgs in very little time. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the numbers on the scale. My friends and family were baffled by my transformation, and not to lie, I was a little too. However, I knew that all this was possible due to my enthusiasm and will to work towards a healthy lifestyle.
While people asked me how I did it, two of my friends reached out to me to give them fitness coaching and help them get fit. These two people opened a doorway for me to make the best of my love for fitness into a profession. I began learning more and ended up attaining multiple certifications in the yoga industry. I was married by 19, and by 24, I had two kids, yet I found the purpose sometime later, and it has paid me well. I channelled my energies in the right direction. Today, I am a recognized yoga trainer running a yoga centre with more than 80 students willing to keep themselves healthy and fit.
The right support from my instructor and family has given wings to me and brought out my real potential to change people’s mindsets and help them get fit.
Even though things have moved virtual, I still believe that the best results are achieved when you work in person. Someone recently asked my age and then followed it up with when I will retire. There is not going to be any retirement for me. I am doing what I love, and I want to do it more. It has now become more of a service to society. I use all my knowledge and skill to design a custom course for clients. Human bodies are unique and respond to different diets, exercises, and lifestyles. What I change is the way you live.
