Mirart is a combination of two words, Mira and Art. Here is what she has to say on what happened during lockdown.
I had to leave my job due to certain family requirements. Initially I loved it but gradually I started feeling very low and bored. From school days I wanted to learn art related things like painting or kathak but because of our financial conditions my family couldn’t afford any hobby classes. One day I was just scrolling YouTube and there I saw an art and I fell in love with it. It’s called Mandala. I just saw one video for beginners and what is it all about. I started with lots of mistakes, errors and finally got a grasp on the technique. I can say proudly I’m self taught! Now I know Mandala, Dot Mandala and Madhubani. But I am still learning, as there is a lot to learn. It keeps my mind busy and calm.
Mira Sharma has gone commercial in this lockdown period itself. She has sold a few of her artwork and takes customised orders for bookmarks, coffee mugs and canvas.
