Their story
Fresh master’s degree holders are often happy to find a great job and when it involves a lot of travel, it definitely beats the regular table and chair work. But after a while living out of the suitcases bores. The same routine, getting up in a new place but doing the same thing again and again is not exciting. That is the time when you wish you could do something more with your life. And that is the turning point where you want to be your own boss.

Being in a team of co-founders, you believe that you are an entrepreneur but also the youngest in the team does not give you the right high that you wish to achieve. Business may not be for everyone but a new startup and from a brand new perspective is what got these two ladies together. And that is how the concept of co working space came into being which facilitates more than just basic needs of the workplace.
The Daftar
In 2015, Sunanda and Vandita decided to put their plan into motion and build a co working space. The Daftar was born; it provides the basic infrastructure with a table and a chair and high speed internet along with basic amenities. A place where people can come together and do something big or small and rent the place accordingly!

But The Daftar is a bit more than just simply a co-working space. It is a place where ideas are born and the dream of any singular person is taken up and beyond. The fantastic women and their team does not only provide their tenants a place to work and collaborate they help them grow. They have created a community of like-minded people & offer an environment for learning, sharing & collaboration. Sunanda and Vandita along with their team believe that why to grow alone. “We all must grow together” is their motto.
Matter of finances
Every new idea needs a lot of investment and sometimes it takes a lot of years before it can break even. The incomes are often rolled back into the business in order to improve. It has been nearly five years and with the ever growing team and expansions they have managed to break even for the last 6 months. Paying their employees out of their pockets and even meeting expenditures from the income are what made The Daftar achieve its position.
Aim
The main aim for their co working space is to give back to the community. Apart from leasing the space they try to help them too. Have discussions to understand their requirements. Work in order to increase the opportunities for their clients and expand the network. As more and more people come together, the chances of growth increases multifold. It is a win-win situation for all.
