I started my Entrepreneurship journey of Gifts & Smiles back in 2020 in the lockdown period. What’s surprising is I never knew I would do this someday as an Engineer. I had no plans of this ever. It was always maths and physics in my mind. But since childhood I used to love gifting. I don’t know why but surprising people with gifts made me happier. I always felt excited surprising not only known people but also random ones. For birthdays I was the most excited person and the most active too who would respond in seconds to any plans. I always took lead to turn normal occasions into something unexpected and special. It was always inside me but I never knew this could lead to wherever I am today. I always wanted to do something different, be my own boss, handle each and every situation on my own, spread love with my work and earn without boundaries and limits.
Earnings of entrepreneurs is erratic, sometimes more or other times less. So with all courage, I started my own venture. Every tiny moment of happiness I created and surprising people in the past helped me to reach many more in different cities. Practice and dedication makes your work perfect. Year 2020, I was preparing for my engineering entrance and everything was going as per plan. But as my efforts peaked, everything fell apart. Starting from my own life to my health to my family, everything seemed a nightmare. During this time I tested positive for COVID. Things got jumbled in my head. I was so confused what to do?
I had no clue where to start and how it will end. I was just wishing to recover soon and get some fresh air outside, also hoping my family gets well too. Later I realized just because of those tough times I got Gifts & Smiles. Else I would’ve entered into a job which wouldn’t make me happy. The amount of love I received is unbelievable. Everyday I wake up with someone checking how I am, what new I’m going to feature for my page.
I remember them hugging each other with my product because they couldn’t meet in the lockdown period. I remember them crying with my products because they couldn’t believe a live beautiful product in their hands with their pictures. I remember someone recorded a song “sukoon mila” with my product. All these are priceless. Thanks to those tough times.
I don’t plan much for the future. Last time I planned for study and job, it did not go in the right direction. Made a to-do list everyday of how to study, what to prepare and setting up alarms to get up in the morning and study for the entrance. There are however no plans for GIFTS & SMILES. It is with me today and might as well plan something. God sometimes has other plans in place for you. I wish to grow this business and let each and every people know from every corner of the world about Gifts & Smiles. Will work hard till it happens, will work harder even when it happens.
