Men call women vain because we spend hours in front of the mirror looking our best… what is inside reflects on the face. Thus a beautiful mind should have a gorgeous face. So I guess it is alright being a bit vain!
Apart from vanity we have a knack to choose the right products too. When I was younger my nani (grand mom) and my mom didn’t let me experiment much with cosmetic products, they told me one thing- what you can eat, can be used on the skin and what you should not …. Rest you can fill in the gaps. I am following the same ideology, but with a twist – organic!
When you can get the organic goodness in a great packaging that has been customized to your preference and requirements then why to opt for mass produced cosmetics with ingredients you can’t even pronounce? But before I divulge in it, let’s looks at the basic difference between organic and natural product.
Organic and Natural Products
Organic products are all the rage today. Women and men too are getting conscious about what they use whether to eat or on their skin. But there is a very little difference between the two.
Organic products are those which are formulated with natural grown plants. These plants have been grown without the help of fertilizers and pesticides thus the products are organic. Now natural products are made from what is found in nature- minerals and plants. Though they are free from chemicals commonly found in cosmetics like- artificial fragrances, preservatives, coloring agents; the soil they grow in was exposed to pesticides and fertilizers.
Benefits of choosing such organic products
- Great for skin
We are highly concerned about what our skin absorbs and interact with. Organic products are not only light but let the skin breathe freely minus all the harmful chemicals. - Great for environment
We already know that these products do not use chemicals thus the soil is not stripped of its natural minerals and can restore fertility through crop rotation. Thereby protecting the nature! - Great for health
The harmful chemicals and pesticides etc. may cause cancer and may even damage the cells. Whereas organic products only strengthen the hair roots and nourishes the skin from within without compromising your health. - Great for animals
Beauty products are usually tested on animals which is not only cruel but also unethical. But with organic products there is no need for testing.
What our grandparents and their parents taught about the beauty and what kind of products to use, we are following the same. The legacy still remains but is simply packaged well! But the choice to pick either one is still in your hand.

Great work Preeti. Keep going strong.
Excellent view on organic products
I fully agree with the writer..I want to add something…give more emphasis on eating right (organic ) and drink lots of water…this will prevent you from spending more on beauty products.
The concept of organic products has been in yore since ages in India, but the question is *are today’s beauty products based on organic harvesting truly natural and are organic means used truly nature friendly*? . One does prefer to use organic products and likes to be associated with a cause but at a holistic level but peacemeal apch would not serve the cause of healthy living
Excellent article ..
very informative
I am curious to find out what blog system you are utilizing?
I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest
site and I would like to find something more
risk-free. Do you have any solutions?
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering
what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having
a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100%
sure. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
I used to be able to find good information from your content.
