No one is born with super human powers; it is the ordinary people who rise to become extraordinary. My story is no different.
Hi, I am Aishwarya Pawar and I am a doctor by profession. I never understood whether it is the profession of helping others or my nature I wanted to do so much more than just give medicines to treat people, I wanted to heal them too. My journey had its ups and downs but I am happy to stand where I am and hope to achieve my dream.
I had a dream that I wanted to go beyond just treating the illness of my patients. While sitting with parents like most girls, the topic shifts to skin care and the problems we all face to look our best. The society also puts in some pressure to look at it in a certain way and it got me thinking that if I can pursue this line and do something for those who wish to look good. But my life took a different turn when I had just completed my MBA in Hospital and health care, when my parents expired within a month of each other. My brother had to leave for abroad since it was not possible to change his dates. Suddenly I found myself alone and orphaned. I had days where I had no idea what to do and how to go about my life. Clarity came one day that I can’t sit and forget about my passion. So I decided to not feel sorry for myself and go ahead as I had planned to work in medical insurance.
During my internship I felt that sometimes the patient undergoes more trauma based on the insurance rather than the actual health issue that made me pursue a course in medical insurance. And I worked in this field for some time. During all this time I was pressurized by the society to get married; as I was living alone. I did not blame anyone and turned a deaf ear and continued to help those who need guidance. My life partner has been my partner in true sense where he stood by me and supported my thought that I want to make a name for myself and be self-dependent before getting married.
We women are usually known by our husband’s name and later by our children’s. But my drive to make a name for myself did not let me sit idle. After getting married during my pregnancy break I came back to the idea that I had put on a back burner that I want to help people look beautiful inside out. Three years back I started doing a course in Organic products and wanted to create a line that would not only improve their skin and hair for the time being but affect from the inside. What I learn in my course is only the tip of the iceberg. What comes as final product is the time and efforts that I put in to evolve the line specific to each and every client of mine. My hard work is reflected in the way their skin glows and how happy they become after their skin issues are resolved and continue to be so. I try to resolve not only their problems pertaining to their skin but I also try to work on their mind and hopefully give them confidence to be comfortable in their own skin.
I am 40 years old now with two kids and I feel that I have so much to do and so little time. My elder son needs me more and I try to balance out my duties as a mother, a wife and a daughter in law and at the same time I look after my patients too. At night when everything is settled I mix up these products to help my clients. I believe that whatever time we have, we should work towards our passion. I am not greedy so I do not want to mass produce these products and maintain that personal touch with my clients. I love the feeling of helping my clients who are more like friends.
We women forget that we have the way to follow our passion and that is what makes us extraordinary. Face every challenge with a smile and be the best version of yourself.
